Does Finovox keep the documents I analyze?

No. The documents you analyze with Finovox are never stored. They remain only on your browser. We cannot access, view, or retain them.

How can Finovox know if a document has already been analyzed by another organization?

We use a mechanism called a digital fingerprint or hash. When a document is submitted, a unique cryptographic fingerprint is generated from its content. This fingerprint — the hash — is a code that acts as a signature. It contains no data from the document, and it is mathematically impossible to revert to the original document from this hash.

What does a hash look like, concretely?

It is a series of random characters, for example:

5f4dcc3b5aa765d61d8327deb882cf99f3a1d4c1d72c2e86b6c9a2b6c9d9a9e2

This series of characters cannot in any way reveal or retrieve the content of the document.

Who can see this information?

We store only the document's fingerprint, not the document itself. Neither Finovox nor other organizations have access to the original file. Only the fingerprints are compared to know if a document has already been submitted. This method allows for the mutualization of fraud detection without compromising confidentiality.
